Commercial Snow Plowing & Ice Management in Milford, CT
Total Lawn Care & More provides commercial snow plowing, salting, and ice management for parking lots, walkways, and entrances in Milford and Orange, Connecticut. We've plowed commercial properties through every Connecticut winter since 2010, with dedicated crews, a full plow and salt fleet, and around-the-clock storm monitoring from November through March. Monthly contracts and snowfall-based tiered pricing are available.
When a storm hits at 3 a.m., our job is to make sure your property is clear, salted, and open before your first employee or customer pulls in.
What's included
Plowing of parking lots, drive lanes, and loading areas, with snow stacked where you want it
Sidewalk and entrance clearing by hand crew or sidewalk machine
Salting and de-icing of lots and walkways, with pre-treatment before freezing rain and ice events
Ice management between storms: refreeze checks, spot salting, and drainage trouble spots
Snow hauling and relocation when piles outgrow the lot, only when it's truly needed and you approve it. Billed by the truckload plus loading time.
How we handle a storm
Before. We track forecasts around the clock. Ahead of a storm we confirm crew assignments and pre-treat lots and walks where ice is expected.
During. Crews start when accumulation reaches your contract's trigger depth (typically 1 inch) and cycle back through the storm so lots never get ahead of us.
After. Final cleanup pass, salting, and a follow-up visit for refreeze.
Contract options
Monthly contract. A set monthly price through the winter, no matter how many storms hit. Predictable budgeting, and your property is on a guaranteed route. Best for properties that can't afford to be closed.
Tiered pricing. Your price follows how much snow actually falls, using tiers agreed in your contract. Lower cost in a light winter, higher in a heavy one.
Every contract specifies trigger depth, salting terms, sidewalk coverage, and response windows in writing.
Pricing factors
Commercial snow contracts are priced on lot size, number of walkways and entrances, trigger depth, salting requirements, and how quickly the property needs to be open. We quote after a site walk. We aim to have contracts locked in by November 1, and signed contracts get first priority on route placement.
Pair snow with a seasonal landscaping contract and you have one vendor year-round. Details on the commercial services page.

Frequently asked questions
When should I sign a snow contract? By November 1. Routes fill in the fall, and properties under contract get priority during every storm. We can sometimes add properties mid-season, but only if route capacity allows.
What is a trigger depth? The accumulation at which plowing begins, usually 1 inch for commercial lots. A lower trigger means more frequent plowing and a higher cost; we'll recommend one based on your property's traffic and risk.
Do you plow residential driveways? Our snow operation is commercial-only so we can guarantee response times to businesses. For residential properties we focus on year-round lawn and landscape care.
